The objective was clear: we needed to create a captivating digital space that would leave a lasting impression on both current and potential clients.
In an industry where words like new and innovative are as much a requirement as they are a badge of honor, coming up with the next big idea can be a daunting task. During a brainstorming session for our new website, Victor Ricci, CEO and Co-founder of Mattered, brought up an abstract concept: space.
At first, it seemed like a whimsical, moderately mundane idea. Something that would make the team smile, but ultimately be dismissed as a cool but impractical idea, it evolved into something intriguing. Inspired by a passion for the cosmos, an immersive galactic experience would be the foundation of Mattered's new website.
The cosmic journey began with extensive research and collaboration. Their team of talented designers, developers, and writers invested months to craft a website that would transport visitors into space. The primary goal was to create a visually stunning and technically innovative landing page to communicate essential information about the agency.
What started as simple illustrations turned into 3D graphics and, thanks to three.js, resulted in a captivating space odyssey. Users can navigate through space with a simple scroll, exploring fun facts and statistics from the company’s history.
“First impressions linger — we know this is true for our clients and ourselves. We wanted to create a fun and memorable experience for potential clients to learn a little bit more about Mattered,” says Victor Ricci, Founder and CEO of Mattered.
After launching the website, we received an overwhelmingly positive response from the team, our peers and clients. The genuinely unique experience captivated users and garnered the attention of industry leaders. When the opportunity arose to be nominated for an award, it made sense to show off the work. While awards are never the initial motivation for creating something, they're certainly a welcomed bonus, especially when it's a Netty Award.
